Coffee is what keeps my business going — no joke! Meredith Hart Photography runs on coffee. I start each morning with a cup (or two) of coffee and it helps me kickstart my workday.
Rochester has a wonderful assortment of coffee shops and no matter where you are in the city, there’s likely a coffee shop nearby.
One of my favorite things is treating my brand photography clients to coffee! Rather than a typical consultation call over the phone, we opt for a coffee chat to get to know each other a bit better and discuss all the details of their photoshoot.

1. Glen Edith Coffee Roasters
Glen Edith is located just off Park Ave in Rochester. My favorite drink to get here is a vanilla latte. Plus, they have a variety of baked goods and some delicious waffles!

2. Ugly Duck Coffee
Ugly Duck Coffee started out as a pop-up espresso bar, but now they have a permanent location in the City of Rochester's East End. In addition to their fabulous espresso drinks, they also offer snacks from Black Cat Baking Co., Flour City Bakery, and Soulistic Sweets. The Tasting Table named Ugly Duck Coffee the best coffee shop in New York State.

3. Java’s
Java’s is a cafe that’s located downtown by Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. Be sure to check out all the cool artwork on the walls while you sip on your coffee. They also have some killer cookies — the ginger molasses cookie is my favorite!

4. Fuego Coffee Roasters
Fuego Coffee Roasters roasts and brews fresh artisanal coffee. They have lots of indoor seating available at a very light, bright, and spacious location. This is a great spot to grab coffee with friends or to get some work done.

5. Melo Coffee & Kitchen
Melo Coffee & Kitchen is located in the Neighborhood of the Arts (NOTA), Rochester’s arts district. It’s a trendy cafe that serves espresso drinks, sandwiches, and more. And it’s right down the street from the Memorial Art Gallery which is a beautiful location to take pictures in Rochester.

Cafe Sasso is located on one of the corners of Park Ave, a hustling and bustling street in Rochester. A cool feature of Cafe Sasso is it’s open later and offers both Coffee and Cocktails. It’s a great place to start or end your day!
